Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to sign a staggering £175m-a-year deal with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr before the close of 2022, according to stunning new reports.

The 37-year-old had his contract terminated by Manchester United by mutual consent, after he completely slammed the club in a sensational interview with media personality Piers Morgan.

Initial reports linking him to Al-Nassr were quashed in November, as it was claimed the superstar was solely focused on Portugal and the World Cup.

According to Daily Mail, Ronaldo is currently in Dubai and Al-Nassr are determined to sign the five-time Ballon d’Or winner before the end of the year.

Marca further reports that the deal would see the veteran striker possibly stay with the club until his likely retirement in 2025.

It has further been reported that Ronaldo and his family are biding their time in Dubai as particulars of the contract are finalised.

Recently, the Portuguese star shared a snap of himself at the gym in Dubai, as he stepped up his fitness ahead of the proposed move.

About Al Nassr

Al Nassr is one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, and has been crowned winners of the top flight league nine times.

The club's home turf is a 25,000 capacity stadium, and their most recent triumph in the league was in 2019.
