Pumas have terminated Dani Alves’ contract after he was jailed on remand without bail over an alleged sexual assault of a woman at a nightclub in Barcelona that allegedly happened on December 30, 2022.
“With the information that came out today about the legal process that the player Daniel Alves is facing and for which he is being detained in Spain, we have determined to communicate the following: The Club Universidad Nacional has made the decision to terminate the employment contract with the player Daniel Alves with just cause as of this day.”
