Depay shares moment of love for Ghana by putting on Local Ghanaian Wear during presentation

Memphis Depay has shared a moment of love for Ghana.

The Dutch-winger has Ghanaian heritage and visits during vacation.

Depay completed his move to Spanish club Atletico Madrid on Friday.

Dutch international, Memphis Depay has not forgotten his Ghanaian roots as he styled up in the traditional Kente wear.

The 28-year-old forward sealed a move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid from Barcelona on Friday, January 20, 2023.

Depay was born in the Netherlands to a Ghanaian father and a Dutch mother, but the winger loves to spend time in the West African country when he is on vacation.

In photos shared on social media, Depay portrayed his love for Ghana by wearing the traditional Kente cloth- mostly worn by the Akan kings.

Meanwhile, Depay is set for a new adventure in Spain after leaving Barcelona to join rivals Atletico Madrid in the winter transfer window.

The former Manchester United attacker signed a two-and-a-half year deal to join the Rojiblancos.

Having battled injuries at the start of the season, Depay lost his position at Barcelona, making only four appearances in the ongoing campaign.

However, the move to Atletico is expected to give him the chance to redeem himself following a troubled campaign under Xavi Hernandez.

Depay previously played for PSV and Olympique Lyonnais.
