Bukayo Saka – 8
Despite being fouled all game long, Saka did not let the emotions get the better of him. Scored an amazing equalizer with an incredible volley. Tormented Villa with his movement and set up some good chances through the right-wing too. Ensured Arsenal never gave up with his energetic outing.
Oleksandr Zinchenko – 7.5
Zinchenko had a tough start, giving away the ball leading to Watkins’ opener. But he recovered from it strongly, helping Arsenal control more of the ball and creating some decent chances. Scored his first Premier League goal with a brilliant finish, helping Arsenal win a point from the game.
Jorginho – 7.5
Jorginho continued his good form and was really impressive with his distribution, passing the ball around efficiently. Helped progress the play better as the game went on and then became Arsenal’s hero with a brilliant striker leading to Martinez’s own goal that won his side the game.
Eddie Nketiah – 7
Not that involved in the build-up play, but Nketiah’s movement and pressing troubled Villa. He hit the bar with a solid header in the second half. Should’ve had an assist after brilliantly winning the ball inside Villa’s box and setting up the sitter for Odegaard.
Martin Odegaard – 5
Odegaard had a really eventful game, full of ups and downs. Had a difficult first half but jumped to life after the break. Created some big chances with his some nice passes and assisted Zinchenko’s goal. But then missed an absolute sitter that could’ve made the win much easier.
William Saliba – 4.5
Saliba made some poor decisions in the game, like standing off Watkins and allowing him to go trough for his goal. Struggled with the Villa forward and unable to put an end to their swift breaks. Improved a bit in second half but didn’t look too comfortable.
