Arriving from Chelsea on a free transfer last summer, Andreas Christensen did take his time to settle in but over the last few months has proved his worth and become an unassailable starter for Xavi.
Despite his performance, The Athletic reports that Barcelona would be very tempted to accept any good offer for the Dane in summer.
This is mainly because the defender is a great source of revenue and that his sale might as well be beneficial in terms of the FFP.
Xavi, however, is said to strongly oppose the idea. Under no circumstances he is willing to part ways with the player who's now an essential part of his setup.
