Manchester United players 'don't' want Mason Greenwood back in the team

The Manchester United squad don't want Mason Greenwood reintegrated back into the changing room over fears it could derail their progress, according to reports.

The 21-year-old recently had attempted rape and assault charges dropped against him but still faces an internal club investigation into whether to reintegrate him into Erik ten Hag's first-team squad or part ways.

Greenwood remains on United's Premier League squad list, having been named among their Under-21 players at the beginning of the season, but there are emerging concerns.

According to The Sun, the Man United team - who have made significant progress under Erik ten Hag this season - are concerned that his return could derail their momentum.

A source told the outlet: 'The players are open to him returning to the team but the scrutiny could be massively distracting.

'The dressing room is the happiest it has been for ages and no one wants to rock the boat.'

United have been in brilliant form under ten Hag's guidance this year - despite off-field issues with Greenwood and Cristiano Ronaldo - and are third in the table.
