Midfielder, winger and striker: Barca's 3 top targets for summer revealed
According to Mundo Deportivo's credible Roger Torello (5 stars), Barcelona's three top targets for the summer are Yannick Carrasco, Sofyan Amrabat, and Victor Roque.
After failing to sign him on loan in January, the Catalans agreed on a €15m buy option on Carrasco as part of the Memphis Depay deal. Xavi likes the player, and the club plans to trigger the option next summer.
Amrabat is another player that Barca tried to land during the winter market, he was open to the move too. Fiorentina did not agree to the loan-plus-buy-option formula so Blaugrana will offer a permanent transfer next summer, with Sofyan's contract set to expire in 2024.
As for Roque, the 17-year-old striker has attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. However, Victor has already decided that he wants to play at Camp Nou even if he has to start as a backup to Robert Lewandowski.
Mundo Deportivo add that Mateu Alemany has outlined a new transfer policy for Barca. The club will go for either talented players that are still young and won't cost a fortune or will be on the lookout for various market opportunities like free agents, expiring contracts or players pushing to leave their clubs.
