No.10 Jersey "Bad Fortune" Continues for Lionel Messi As PSG Suffer shock French Cup Elimination
Seven times Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi returned to his most choices jersey no. 10 for the second time since his move to Paris on Wednesday night as PSG suffered a slender 2-1 defeat against rivals, Olympique Marseille in the French Cup.
How Is It Possible To Wear A Different Jersey Number ?
Many would wonder how Messi is able to wear a different jersey number other than his usual no. 30. But this was made possible thanks to the rules governing the French Cup. In the Coupe de France, players wear only numbers from 1 to 11 on their backs, rather than a normal squad number, which allowed the World Cup winner to wear the no. 10 shirt.
Unluckily for the 35 year-old, things did not go as planned on his second occasion, as Marseille shocked the French champions.
PSG are eliminated from the Coupe de France by Marseille in the round of 16.
