Enzo Fernandez proving a massive upgrade on Jorginho with 2 key stats

Chelsea lost sleep on the January transfer deadline day to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica for a record fee. His arrival allowed the Blues to offload Jorginho to Arsenal.

Enzo immediately took over Jorginho's number 5 shirt and his place in the squad. The Argentine has also taken the Premier League by storm since his arrival in London.

Stats have shown that no player in the league who has played 500 minutes or more this season makes more progressive passes per game than Enzo.

In terms of touches, Fernandez has more (107) per 90 minutes than any other player in the division so far. Only Manchester City's Rodri (106) comes the closest.

As you can see, Fernandez has been an upgrade on Jorginho when it comes to making forward passes and getting involved in the game. The Italian doesn't even figure in these stats despite playing 1628 minutes in the Premier League compared to Enzo's 624'

In the game against Everton, Enzo starred brilliantly again despite the disappointing result. The 21-year-old registered a pre-assist for the goal by Joao Felix.
