"Our thoughts are on being positive": Potter asked if Chelsea's season would be over if they lose vs Dortmund

Speaking to the media on Monday, Graham Potter was asked point blank Chelsea's season would be over if they lose to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

The manager said: "I agree it's a big game, an exciting game, a chance to go through to the last eight of the Champions League. It'll be a special night.

"Our thoughts are on being positive and trying to win. It's a good challenge for us, a big challenge for us. We're excited for it and looking forward to it.

"It was a special occasion in Dortmund and it will be the same at Stamford Bridge. We're looking forward to playing the game and competing to go through."

Champions League remains Chelsea's only shot at winning silverware this season with the Blues crashing out of the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

The Round of 16 first-leg clash in Dortmund ended in a 1–0 defeat and Potter's men will be hoping to overturn the deficit at Stamford Bridge come Tuesday.
