Pep Guardiola reveals why winning Champions League still makes him a 'failure'
"I am a failure in the Champions League," said Pep Guardiola after Manchester City's 7-0 hammering of RB Leipzig.
"If I win the Champions League three times in a row I will be a failure.
"I have three idols in my life. Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Julia Roberts. These are my three idols.
"Julia Roberts years ago came to Manchester - not in the 90s when Sir Alex [Ferguson] was winning titles and titles and titles.
"She came in the period where we were better than United, in these four or five years, right?"
The Spaniard continued: "And she went to visit Man United. She didn't come to see us.
"That's why even if I win the Champions League it will not compare for the fact that Julia Roberts came to Manchester and didn't come to see us.
"Even if I win the Champions League it will not compare to this disappointment I had."
Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts won everyone's hearts with her role in Pretty Woman - and it appears Guardiola has a tiny crush on her.
Too bad that like many others who know good football, she simply prefers the Theatre of Dreams and not the Emptyhad, oops, we mean the Etihad.
She visited Old Trafford back in 2016 and spent a good amount of time on the pitch with her family. Roberts also took several photos that went viral at the time with players like David De Gea, Juan Mata, Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez.
