WATCH: Heartbreaking as late Christian Atsu's wife breaks down in tears as she reads tribute to husband

Late Black Stars Player, Christian Atsu was laid in state at the forecourt of State house in Accra.

His wife, Marie-Claire Rupio couldn’t hold her tears while she read Christian Atsu’s tribute.

Marie-Claire Rupio broke down in tears when she attempted to read a tribute penned for her deceased husband.

Someone took over to read the tribute for her.

A video of the sad moment has surfaced online.

Many public figures were in attendance.

Atsu met his untimely death in Turkey following an earthquake.

The Ghanaian player and Marie-Claire had three children.
