Arsenal Women's Champions League Clash Draws Record Crowd, Emirates Stadium Sold Out

On Monday evening, Arsenal will be playing against Wolfsburg in the Women's Champions League semi-final, and it has been confirmed that they will be performing in front of a capacity crowd at the Emirates Stadium.

After a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Germany, Jonas Eidevall's team will aim to secure their spot in the final against Barcelona, scheduled for June 3rd.

In September, Arsenal broke the attendance record for the Women's Super League (WSL) as 47,367 spectators watched their triumph over Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium.

As Arsenal continues to pursue the WSL championship and strives for success in the UWCL, the conclusion of this season could potentially be a thrilling finale.

Players have taken to social media to promote the fixture, as there has been a deliberate attempt to sell out the stadium for the semi-final. This match could be a significant moment in the club's history.

Having won the UWCL in 2006/07, Arsenal is the only English club to have achieved this feat. However, they have been waiting for 17 years to lift the trophy once again, marking an ongoing period of anticipation.

As reported by the Daily Mirror's John Cross, Arsenal have now sold 60,000 tickets for the fixture, meaning they will play in front of a capacity crowd at the Emirates Stadium for the first time on Monday evening. This was later confirmed by the club.

Winning the game would be a major boost for Eidevall's side after a number of injuries to key players in recent months.

Leah Williamson, Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema are all long-term absentees with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, with Williamson suffering her injury against Liverpool earlier this month.

All three players will miss the rest of the season, and the summer's Women's World Cup - but Arsenal stepped up from going 2-0 down in the first leg in Germany to recover a 2-2 draw.

They will now hope to produce a similar battling display to secure victory at the Emirates Stadium, in front of over 60,000 fans for the first time in UK women's football history.
