Javier Tebas responds to Barcelona and threatens legal action over 'false evidence' accusations
La Liga president Javier Tebas has responded to Barcelona’s statement, of wanting him to resign over accusations that he provided false evidence in the Enrique Negreira referee scandal.
He tweeted a number of pictures of letters sent to the Catalan publication La Vanguardia demanding them to make rectifications against accusations made against him.
Tebas also directly mentioned Barca in his caption, adding: “@FCBARCELONA_ES, before submitting the brief to the Prosecutor’s Office, the legal counsel of @laliga informed the Delegate Commission on February 21, of the content of the brief and its documents. Right of rectification requested to @LaVanguardia Clarified and you?”

In the letter, Tebas has given La Vanguardia three days to change their article. If the newspaper fails to comply, then the La Liga president has threatened legal action over them.
