Manchester United Get Positive News on Bruno Fernandes' Injury Before Tottenham Showdown

The match between Tottenham and United is crucial for both teams' aspirations of securing a spot in the top four. Despite Tottenham's recent issues, a victory in tonight's game would bring them within a mere three points of United.

Ryan Mason's team would require a remarkable reaction to their 6-1 defeat against Newcastle on Sunday in order to achieve that.

On the other hand, United secured their place in the FA Cup final over the weekend, although their performance against Brighton at Wembley was not very convincing.

Although there have been noticeable advancements under Erik ten Hag's leadership in his inaugural season, securing a spot in the Champions League for the next term is not assured.

The supporters of United will be encouraged by the updates suggesting that Fernandes will most likely be available for the game as the team requires a win.

According to The Mirror, Fernandes traveled with his Manchester United teammates to London in preparation for their upcoming match.

The Portugal international sustained an injury during their FA Cup semi-final victory against Brighton on the previous Sunday, and there were concerns about his availability for the Tottenham game.

Despite leaving Wembley on Sunday wearing a protective boot, the player seems to have demonstrated his fitness to manager Ten Hag.

The topic of Fernandes' fitness was discussed during the United manager's press conference on Wednesday.

On injuries, Ten Hag said: "There are some players who are unavailable, [such as] Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.

"We have to see how Bruno Fernandes is because we don't know yet. It's a question mark. But I think, for the rest, we are quite okay."

When asked about Fernandes' protective boot, Ten Hag replied:

"It's more often that with players, we protect them. It's prevention, but it has to settle down. We have seen he played a full game and it happened in the first half. But tomorrow is a quick turnaround, so we have to see what is possible."
