With protests occurring on Sunday, Manchester United fans were delighted by Erik ten Hag's actions, which they interpreted as being in line with their anti-Glazer stance.
Despite already securing the Carabao Cup this season and having an upcoming FA Cup final, as well as a probable top four finish, Manchester United fans have only been protesting against their owners when the team is performing poorly.
However, due to the Glazer family's prolonged handling of the club's potential sale, which could have negative repercussions for next season's plans, fans took to the streets of Manchester before the game.
Even after securing a 1-0 win, which further reinforced their dissatisfaction with the club's management, Manchester United fans continued to sing anti-Glazer songs.
As Erik ten Hag left the pitch after the victory, a yellow and green scarf was thrown towards him, which he picked up, twirled around, and threw back, as captured in the video below.

"This might be the most significant picture of any United manager ever," one fan dramatically stated.
"For the first time I see a United manager giving away signs of being against the owners," a second added, along similar lines as the first.
A third joked, "He's not here to take part, he's here to takeover," although it's unlikely the former Ajax boss has a spare £6 billion.
"He just gets it doesn’t he," claimed another supporter.
"This is such a f***ing underrated movement," replied a fifth.
And a sixth affectionately posted, "I love this bald man so much! Green and Gold until our club is sold!"
The match took place after the deadline for third bids from Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the two most probable buyers of Manchester United.
Ten Hag's team aimed to recover from the disappointment of letting a two-goal lead slip against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night, and Bruno Fernandes scored to give them the lead after 39 minutes.
