Jordi Alba set to leave Barca at end of campaign
According to 'Mundo Deportivo', Barcelona will announce Jordi Alba's departure very soon. The left-back will leave the Catalan side after eleven seasons.
Changes are expected in the Barcelona squad for next season. The Catalan giants bid farewell to Sergio Busquets a few weeks ago and Jordi Alba will be the next to leave the club.
'Mundo Deportivo' reports that the left-back is set to announce his departure from Barcelona and will make it official in a statement on Wednesday.
He had one more season left on his contract but the 34-year-old wants to try his luck as a free agent as he has hardly any opportunities in Xavi's side this season due to the impressive performances of Alejandro Balde.
The Spaniard will bid farewell to the fans after 11 seasons in the Barcelona first team, who will face Mallorca in La Liga on Sunday. Both Busquets and Alba could play their last game in the Catalan side's shirt.
