Mourinho rejects Chelsea in show of loyalty to Roma

According to Football Italia, it has been reported that Jose Mourinho declined an offer from Chelsea while he awaits a decision on his future with his current club, Roma.

The future of the 60-year-old Portuguese coach has been the subject of much speculation in recent months, as his current contract with Roma is due to expire in June of next year.

Mourinho has been connected to several positions, including the Brazilian national team and Paris Saint-Germain.

During his tenure with Roma, Mourinho has demonstrated his coaching abilities and proven his worth on the sidelines. He led the team to their first-ever significant European trophy last season by winning the Europa Conference League.

Although this season has presented a few challenges, Roma remains in the Europa League semi-finals.

According to Corriere dello Sport, a Chelsea director reached out to Mourinho to explore the possibility of him accepting the manager role at the club, placing him among the list of potential candidates for the job.

The Portuguese coach made it clear that he had no interest in this, wanting to meet with owner Dan Friedkin and stay with Roma.
