Inter Miami, despite their poor MLS season, are being backed by the bookies to win the Leagues Cup.

The Herons are currently bottom of the Eastern Conference, but the arrival of Lionel Messi has seen them become one of the favorites to win the expanded Leagues Cup.

Miami begin their campaign against Liga MX side Cruz Azul on Friday, and manager Gerardo "Tata" Martino has said that he expects Messi and Sergio Busquets to make their debuts.

The addition of two of the greatest players of all time has certainly boosted Inter Miami's chances of winning the tournament, but they will still need to improve their form in MLS if they are to be successful.

However, with Messi and Busquets in their ranks, anything is possible.

Here are some key details about the upcoming match against Cruz Azul:

The match will be played on Friday, July 21 at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM ET.
The match will be broadcast live on TUDN USA and Univisión in the United States, and on Apple TV's MLS Season Pass subscription service.
