Xavi on Dembele and PSG's Intention to Trigger Clause

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has said that the club cannot control the market and that it is up to Ousmane Dembele to decide his future.

"We can't control the market," Xavi said. "There are clauses and it's the player's decision."

Dembele's release clause is €50 million, but it is expected to rise to €100 million on Monday. PSG are reportedly willing to trigger Dembele's release clause, but Xavi believes that the player is happy at Barcelona.

"I see him happy," Xavi said. "He's told us he's happy."

Dembele has been a key player for Barcelona since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2017. He has made 150 appearances for the Catalan club, scoring 32 goals and providing 34 assists.

Xavi is hoping that Dembele will stay at Barcelona, but he understands that the player has a decision to make.

"It's up to him to decide," Xavi said. "We'll see what happens."
