Mo Salah stays: Saudi Pro League transfer window finally closes
It's finally happened: the transfer window has closed for the Saudi Pro League clubs.
It means that Al Ittihad's attempts to complete a late transfer for Mohamed Salah have failed.
The club that had already signed Fabinho made a ₤150m offer to Liverpool and were reportedly prepared to increase it to ₤200m.
However, Liverpool were always adamant that Salah was not for sale at that stage.
Still, according to Sky Sports, Al Ittihad will look to make a deal for Salah in January or the following summer.
There's no chance that Liverpool would sell Salah in the middle of the season. Next summer, when Mo's contract will only have one year before expiry, is the time when things could happen.
