'He has to play': Erik ten Hag hints at plan for Van De Beek
Speaking about the future of Donny van Beek, who remains unfavoured at Man United, Erik ten Hag said: “'I think Donny has to play.
“In games he was in the squad, so he had the opportunity. It was a slow start to the season because he was still recovering from physical setbacks.
“But he is back now and he is doing really well in training, so if you can’t give him perspective then I can see he has to play for his career and for everything.”
This appears to be a major hint from Ten Hag that Van de Beek will be allowed to leave Man United in January, probably on loan.
The Dutch midfielder has grown frustrated at Old Trafford this season, mostly being an unused substitute on the bench.
He has actually only made two appearances for the Red Devils in this campaign and gotten 21 minutes of game-time.
