England Euro 2024 path to the final

England will hope not to go through as one of the best third-place teams as they would then face Portugal in the Round of 16.

If they win their group, they will face a third-place team in the Round of 16 and the runners-up from Group A or B in the quarterfinals. Not facing a potential group winner until the semifinals likely makes this by far the preferable route for Gareth Southgate's side.

If England come second in their group, they will meet the winners of Group A, which will could be Germany or Scotland.
