2020 Golden Boy award: Callum Hudson-Odoi the only Chelsea player to make the 40-man shortlist
Ethan Ampadu was in the previous 60-man list but did not make it to the next round.
Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has been included in the 40-man shortlist for the Golden Boy award.
Since 2003, this title is given to the best U21 youngster who plays in a European nation's top tier, with Atletico Madrid's midfield sensation Joao Felix winning it last year.
Hudson-Odoi is the only Blue still in contention after Ethan Ampadu was eliminated in the previous round.
After recovering from an Achilles injury, the 19-year-old became an important part of the squad, making 33 appearances across all competitions in the 2019/20 season, scoring 3 goals and providing 6 assists.
Still, Callum is not one of the favourites for the award, with Dortmund duo Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland leading the race.
