Angel Di Maria confessed he tried sweet talking Messi to PSG when Leo handed in transfer request at Barca

Messi transfer saga is a thing of the past but its action is till making wave across the media, with his fellow Argentina teammate revealing how he tried to lure me to PSG.

"The first thing I sent Messi when I found out he didn't want to continue at Barcelona was an Instagram screenshot of how PSG would be formed with Messi," Angel Di Maria told Radio Continental.

Messi indeed wanted to quit Barca but the club refused to let him go on a free transfer.

Leo didn't want to take the case to court and decided to stay with the Catalans for at least another season.

The Argentine, however, is out of contract next summer and is yet to extend his current deal.

Aside from Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan and Man City were also named as potential destinations for Messi during this summer's exit saga.
