"Luis, you'll be a Barca legend forever," Marc-Andre ter Stegen stated in his farewell message to Luis Suarez on Twitter.
"We're grateful for the joy and happiness you gave the club during these 6 years. I look forward to playing against you as it'll be a new challenge.
The goalkeeper concluded: "I wish you and your family the best for the future. A big hug!"
Suarez officially left Barcelona for Atletico Madrid on Thursday. The 33-year-old was shown the door by Ronald Koeman.
On Friday morning, Leo Messi hit out at the board for the way the club handled the striker's exit.
