Jovic was an unused substitute against Real Sociedad on Sunday.
Zidane is confident the game did not call for the Serbian's introduction.
Speaking to Movistar, Zinedine Zidane said: "Luka Jovic? I have many players. Today I have chosen the ones who played.
"I have nothing against Jovic or against any player. I didn't want to change the formation and that's why I played wingers."
Jovic stayed on the bench against Real Sociedad on Sunday with Real Madrid struggling to find a goal after several missed chances from Karim Benzema.
