Kante and Jorginho proves how important they still are to Chelsea with nice performance vs Brighton

On Monday, Chelsea beat Brighton 3-1 at the Amex Stadium on the Premier League matchday 1.

Frank Lampard opted to deploy Jorginho and N'Golo Kante together as holding midfielders.

Despite being a bit open way too at times, the lads played pretty well, dispelling some of the biggest misconceptions about their game.

Jorginho, who is getting criticized for his inability to win possession, won the ball 14 times - just one fewer than defensive monster Kante.

Kante, who allegedly struggles with progressing the ball, made 24 forward passes - three fewer than one of the best passers in the world in Jorginho.
