Real Madrid set to demand €25m to sell Bale permanently

According to Mundo Deportivo, a tier-two source, Real Madrid will demand €25m to sell Gareth Bale permanently this summer.

The Welshman is clearly not a part of Zinedine Zidane's plans for the future and Los Blancos are unwilling to let him leave for free.

Bale's current contract expires in 2022 but the player and his agent are believed to be furious with the club for blocking a transfer to China last year.

However, the report adds that Madrid are concerned about the 31-year-old's astronomical €15m-a-year wages and he may have to accept a major pay cut to leave Madrid for good.

Bale has struggled to perform for us and his numbers in Wales' game against Finland in the UEFA Nations League were abysmal, to say the least.
