Luis Enrique promise to take Barcelona Sergio Busquets to Euros but on one condition

The coach promises to take the veteran midfielder to the European Championship if he stays at the same level.

Busquets has been part of the national team since 2009.

"If he maintains the level of the last 11 years, he’ll be at the Euros. If he lowers it, we’ll see," Luis Enrique told Diario AS when asked on Sergio Busquets' future in the national team.

The former Barca coach added: "He’s a veteran and he’s the first to know how this goes. In the end, there comes a time when age counts for everything.

"It’s the rule of life. Nobody spends 28 years in the national team."

Sergio has been part of the Spain national team since 2009, winning two international trophies during this run.

The veteran midfielder completed 62 minutes in the friendly against Portugal earlier this week.

As of Barca, the 32-year-old has accumulated 258 minutes across the first 3 La Liga games this season.
