Giroud: When Lampard calls on me, I do the job, nothing more
The Frenchman says he is happy after a difficult win against Rennes. Giroud states he's focused on bringing something to the team every time he's called upon.
"We must continue this good run, we won tonight [against Rennes], even if it was with difficulty," Giroud told RMC Sport.
"Obviously for an attacker when the coach brings you on you have to bring something, now I am staying concentrated on what I have to do. When he calls on me, I do the job, nothing more."
After coming on as a substitute, Giroud scored a powerful header in the 91st minute to hand Chelsea all 3 points in a tough encounter against Rennes.
The striker has been frustrated with his role in the Chelsea side so far this season and might look to leave in January for better opportunities.
