Chelsea's  Pernille Harder named best female footballer in the world for 2020

The Denish international was named the best female footballer in the world in The Guardian's list of the Top 100 female footballers in 2020.

Harder who joined Chelsea from german club VfL Wolfsburg on the 1st of September 2020  signed a three years contract in an excess of £250,000 a world-record fee for a female footballer has won the award for the second year in a row.

Sam Kerr was the other Chelsea player to make the Top 10 at No. 7 while Ji So-yun, Magdalena Eriksson, Beth England, Maren Mjelde and Guro Reiten made the Top 50.

Harder spent four seasons with VfL Wolfsburg and In all four seasons with the team, Harder won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double. She also played in two Champions League finals (2018 and 2020), losing both to Lyon.

The midfielder/striker has also shown to be prolific for his national side scoring a total of 64 goals in 123 appearances.
