Lampard sets record straight over Christensen injury after Terry comments

Lampard reveals that Andreas Christensen's injury was a direct result of a tackle from the Aston Villa game.

Many people in the press criticised the defender but Lampard insists that's simply a typical modern-day reaction.

"I’ll set the record straight on that one – Andreas’ injury was absolutely from that moment in the Villa game," Frank Lampard told reporters.

"It’s probably a typical modern-day reaction where Andreas has taken stick. He’s out but the injury isn’t too bad which is good news for him.

"He’ll back in training with us on Saturday."

The defender was criticized by pundits and former players when Aston Villa scored immediately after Christensen went down injured from a tackle from Jack Grealish.
