Oshoala Defies Injury Blow, Vows: “I’ll Be Back Soon, Even Better”

Barcelona Femeni of Spain attacker, Asisat Oshoala is staying defiant over the latest injury setback that has hit her, as she declared emphatically that she will quickly overcome the setback and return to action better than before.

The four-time African Women Footballer of The Year declared as much in the wake of reports escalating over the knock to her knee during the recent UEFA Women’s Champions League clash with TSG Hoffenheim of Germany.

Rather than bow under pressure and allow depression weigh her down, the Super Falcons’ captain declared that she is already working hard to overcome the pain in her knee injury and be back on her feet in better style.

Megasportsarena.com gathered that a sstatement by the Spanish club revealed that the 27-year-old attacker suffered a rupture of the posterior cruciate ligament in her right knee against Hoffenheim and will be out for two months.

However, while she admitted that the blight she copped during a 4-0 win of Barca, and had to be replaced in the 63rd minute of the Group C game last Wednesday is a ‘tough pill to swallow,’ ‘Super Dee’ declared that she will do everything to get back fast and help her side defend the title.

Oshoala took to social media to reveal her thoughts and she posted philosophically: “This one hit me so hard, it’s a tough pill for me to swallow. I can’t lie. Thank you for the messages, I will be back soon and even better.”
