Erik Ten Hag: 'Cristiano Ronaldo Is A True Winner And A Magnificent Player

In his final interview for Ajax, Erik ten Hag opened up on a touchline discussion with Cristiano Ronaldo during a Champions League clash with Real Madrid back in 2019.

Noted by The Metro, the Dutchman said: "That was a delightful chat [with Ronaldo].

"I think he could appreciate the way we played. He is a true winner and a magnificent player. I can’t wait to work with him [at Manchester United]."

Despite assumption, the 37-year-old looks set to be part of Ten Hag's plans next season.

Ronaldo, who has a year left on his contract, will stay at United despite the club not sustaining Champions League football.

Nevertheless, Ronaldo has communicated his willingness to work with the new manager and bring silverware back to the red side of Manchester.
