Barcelona have confirmed that they will play Manchester City in a charity friendly match at Camp Nou on August 24.
The raised money will go to ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) research. The fans can support the cause by either buying tickets to the match or donating directly on the club's website.
The action is promoted by Juan Carlos Unzue, former Barca goalkeeper (1988-90) and assistant coach (2014-17). Unzue was diagnosed with ALS in 2020.
Technically, this will not be part of Barca's pre-season as the 2022/22 La Liga starts on August 12.
