As per the very reliable David Ornstein, Chelsea are in talks to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Discussions have started with Napoli over a deal around €40 million for the 31-year-old centre-back.
Koulibaly is entering the last year of his deal and Chelsea are looking to sign at least two centre-backs this summer.
Ornstein states that the two clubs are 'close to an agreement'. It has not been finalised yet but Chelsea are confident at the moment.
Jules Kounde and Presnel Kimpembe are also on Chelsea's list of centre-back targets.
Koulibaly made 27 Serie A appearances last season for a Napoli side that finished third in the table while also helping Senegal win their first-ever African Cup of Nations.
