Tuchel confirms Alonso wants to leave Chelsea

Marcos Alonso was left out of the Chelsea squad for the Everton game amid rumours that he is trying to secure his move to Barcelona.

Speaking to the press after the game, Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that those things are linked.

"He tries to leave and we agreed to this. It would make no sense to put him on the pitch today," Tuchel said, as per journalist Adam Newson.

Alonso has reportedly agreed a three-year deal with Barcelona. The left-back is expected to return to his home country after six years at Stamford Bridge.
