Cristiano Ronaldo Signs With Saudi Club Until 2030, To Receive €200M Wage Yearly

The last few weeks have been the most challenging of Cristiano Ronaldo's decorated career - due to criticism surrounding his interview with Piers Morgan that led to his contract termination at Manchester United - and World Cup elimination with Portugal.

 The Portuguese star has stated he does not want to retire just yet, despite a decline in his performance, and has since been linked to several clubs in Europe and Middle East. 

Some daylight is now on the way for the former Real Madrid player, who has reportedly agreed to football's biggest contract up until 2030, including a continuation deal as an ambassador for Saudi Arabia in their tournament hosting bid. 

He has allegedly signed with Saudi Arabia club Al Nassr, according to reports from Spanish publication Marca, who revealed the details of the contract and claims an official announcement is due soon. 

Ronaldo departs Europe for deal 

Sports Mole reported that Ronaldo wanted to stay in Europe as he wants to continue playing at the top, especially in a Champions League team, but that is no longer the case.

 According to Marca, via Goal, the Saudi Arabian club have confirmed the agreement is already in place after weeks of denying the reports as false. 

It is claimed the 37-year-old will fly out to Riyadh in a few hours to make it official.

 Should the reports be true, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will play in the Saudi league for two and a half terms, earning €200m per season, after which he will take up an ambassadorial role as the face of Saudi Arabia's 2030 World Cup bid alongside Egypt and Greece.
