Sheikh Jassim's reaction to Sir Jim Ratcliffe's 'higher bid' revealed

According to Fabrizio Romano, a tier-one journalist, Sheikh Jassim is 'confident' about his £5 billion bid to buy Manchester United.

The Qatari banker is looking to buy the club in its entirety but the Glazers are only looking for offers above £6 billion to sanction a full sale.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the only other public bidder, has submitted a higher value for the club even though he's only interested in 51% ownership.

The INEOS founder would allow the Glazers to retain minority stake, which certainly is not ideal for fans.

Reporting on the Red Devils' delayed takeover process, Romano said on his YouTube channel: "It's also important to say that those close to Sheikh Jassim guarantee that he remains in the race; he remains confident. And he feels his proposal is the best one for Man United.

"So we know there were so many crazy things happening around this Manchester United bid process."
