Why Braithwaite took penalty vs Eibar instead of Griezmann or Pjanic

 

Quite surprisingly, it was Martin Braithwaite to take the penalty kick in the La Liga game against Eibar on Tuesday.

Antoine Griezmann's entourage explained that the taker was chosen before the game, as per Tot Costa.

The Frenchman has missed 4 straight penalty kicks for France and Barcelona.

As for Miralem Pjanic, the Bosnian was trying to watch the VAR replay on the sidelines while Braithwaite was already waiting to take the kick.

Although Martin missed from the spot, he was seemingly the one who wanted to take the penalty the most.
