Frank Lampard among frontrunners for Everton job,

Frank Lampard is firmly in the running for the vacant managerial seat at Everton, The Telegraph reports.

The former Chelsea player and manager is set for a 'second interview' with the Toffees who are interested in appointing him as head coach.

Lampard competes with former Porto and Olympiacos manager Vitor Pereira for the position.

Everton fans have made their thoughts on the Lampard vs Pereira debate known, writing "Pereira out, Lampard in" on a wall close to Goodison Park.

Lampard has been unemployed for a year following his sacking from Chelsea on January 25 last year.

Since then, he held talks with Crystal Palace and Norwich but reportedly ruled himself out of contention on both occasions.
