What Mikel Arteta told Xavi about Aubameyang before controversial transfer

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang joined Barcelona on a free transfer in January after falling out with Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.

However, as per the Daily Mail, the Emirates manager had only good things to say to Xavi about the 32-year-old forward despite their issues.

The Gabonese was stripped of the Arsenal captaincy before the transfer after a series of disciplinary breaches, including missing training and turning up late for games.

Meanwhile, Aubameyang looks like a completely different player after leaving London and moving to Barca. The forward has scored nine goals in his first 11 appearances for the La Liga giants.
