'It just a glorified friendlies': Kevin De Bruyne downplay Nations League importance.

Kevin de Bruyne is not pleased with having to play in the UEFA Nations League with Belgium after a grueling domestic season. He said: “The Nations League is unimportant in my eyes.

“Just glorified friendlies after a long and tough season. I am not looking forward to it.”

De Bruyne isn’t the first major footballer to complain about the Nations League, with many criticizing it’s format in the past.

Kevin played 45 games for Man City last season, so it’s understandable why he’s agitated at having to play more. Belgium are set to play 4 Nations League games in June.
