Messi Reveals If He'll Play Another World Cup After Qatar 2022

In an interview with TYC Sports, Lionel Messi was asked if he will play in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He answered: “Will I play 2026 WC? I said that after the World Cup I had to rethink about lot of things.

“It’s true then I'll see. If you would tell me that i would left Barcelona in summer, I wouldn’t even believe. It seems very difficult to me, but I'm not clear on anything.”

Messi will be 39 by the time the 2026 World Cup happens and it’s still not sure whether he’ll play football professionally to be able to appear in that edition.

Leo is currently focused on winning the 2022 World Cup, which is set to take place in Qatar from November 21 onwards.
