Raphinha turned down Spurs before Chelsea's bid

As per the reliable Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com, Tottenham Hotspur held talks with Leeds United and Raphinha to convince the player to join.

However, after 'formal discussions' were held between Spurs and Raphinha, the Leeds star turned the London club down.

The reason for that has not been mentioned but Kinsella adds that Raphinha is now 'Chelsea bound'.

Arsenal were also interested in the player, making the first big bid for him but Todd Boehly came in and outbid the Gunners to secure an agreement with Leeds.
